First look at iPhone 6s: the phone with 3D Touch

The iPhone 6s’ biggest updates are undoubtedly the new 3D Touch display, which adds a new dimension to the touchscreen and the new 12-megapixel iSight camera. Other upgrades – as you’d expect from an ‘S’ series iPhone – include a faster processor and graphics, plus the latest iteration of Apple’s mobile OS, iOS 9.

prices will follow the same pattern as last year, with the entry-level 16GB iPhone 6s costing $1079, the 64GB going for $1229 and the 128GB $1379. Apple will be keeping the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus on the books, and the iPhone 5s will now be the firm’s entry-level model

- 3D Touch can tell how hard you’re pressing and react accordingly. Tap the screen as you would regularly and you’ll notice no difference, however a longer and more forceful touch activates secondary options. It’s best to think of Force Touch as the touchscreen’s answer to the right click

12-megapixel iSight camera with larger sensor and 4K video capture
5-megapixel front-facing camera with screen-based True Tone “flash”
- The rear-facing camera has jumped from 8- to 12-megapixels with a larger sensor that’s been tweaked to prevent crosstalk noise reducing image quality, while the front-facing camera is now a 5-megapixel unit. The front-facing camera is also accompanied by a new screen-based TrueTone flash
- 4K-video capture, bringing the iPhone’s camera on par with the competition. With Apple refusing to adopt entertain a microSD expansion option, the ability to record 4K video will raise concerns about storage management, however, especially for those who opt for the lower capacity 16GB models.
Faster A9 processor with integrated M9 motion coprocessor
- Apple says its new processor is 70 percent faster than the A8 for CPU tasks, and a huge 90 percent quicker for graphics

Meet iPad Pro

Big Display

It measures 12.9-inches across and offers a resolution 2732 x 2048 pixels. That’s 5.6 million pixels total, though it only comes out to 265 pixels per inch (PPI). Still, Apple says that’s sharper than a MacBook with Retina display.

The iPad Pro also features some pretty sweet new multi-touch capabilities. Apple’s revamped its technology to work with your finger and its new stylus called the Apple Pencil

it claims is one of the most accurate digital pens ever invented. It’s designed to work with the iPad Pro display, and comes packed with sensors that can tell how hard you press and what angle you hold it at. It also includes a built-in Lightning connector so you can recharge the battery by plugging right into the iPad.

Apple’s also offering a special new keyboard for the iPad Pro. It features a familiar magnetic design but folds up to offer both a kickstand and a keyboard at once.

One small note: these new extras don’t come cheap. Apple is charging $99 for the Pencil and $169 for the keyboard.

Powerful New Speakers

The iPad Pro features four built-in speakers to match its super-sized screen. That means stereo sound shooting out from all four corners of the device. The speakers are also smart, and adjust automatically when you shift from portrait to landscape for the best possible sound.

Overall volume has increased by 61 percent compared to older iPads. The frequency range has also improved as a result, meaning you’ll get a more accurate sound without any external speakers.

Fast New Processor

Apple packed its best processor yet into the iPad Pro. The A9X is 1.8 times faster than the A8X included in last year’s iPad Air 2

The iPad Pro starts at 32GB of storage and then jumps straight to a 128GB option.

The iPad Pro, available in November, will run from US$799 for the 32-GB version to US$1,079 for the 128-GB version.

The new Apple TV, though, has been radically redesigned both inside and out. It’s sporting the A8 processor from the iPhone 6, double the RAM, up to 64GB of storage, and a much more powerful graphics chip
