Korg – From Episode 288

We’ve got a music creation app this week. Korg have been in the business for years with their synths. A few years ago they introduced the Kaoss line of hand held devices with touch pads. These had an X -Y interface that was a perfect candidate for a port to the iDevices.

ikaossilator is the result. There ‘s 150 different sounds/instruments, 5 tracks and all the key/length/quantise settings you could possibly want. the loops you create can be shared through Sound Cloud right from the app or copied into another app like Garage Band.

It’s not a cheap app running at about $20. This said, it’s both high quality and a hell of a lot of fun.
